Additional payment is required for (only if you are registered):

  • Gala Dinner at the Windsor Convention & Expo Center on Thursday, 31 August 2017. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event via the registration form. Price: US$180 (Taxes included)
  • Fees for optional tours
  • Miscellaneous expenses

Corporate members may register up to 2 (two) members of their company with the special value for IFA Member, according to the registration table.
For more registrations, the value of Non-IFA Member must be considered.

REGISTRATION SYSTEM

To register, you must complete the registration form with your personal information, and establish a username (your email address) and your personal password. To access again the system, your e-mail and password will be required.

Make sure that the e-mail address provided on the form is correct, as it will be used for all communications with you.

Every participant will receive an e-mail confirming that the form is completed correctly. As soon as our system confirms the payment, the participant will receive another e-mail, up to 5 days after the payment, with the confirmation of the registration.

Registration only will be completed after confirmation of the payment.

PAYMENT METHODS

Payment can be made as follows:

For online registrations:
by credit card: VISA / MASTERCARD /AMEX

For mail registrations:
by bank transfer (wire)

Important: In order to proceed with payment by bank transfer (wire), please contact us to receive the invoice.

A copy of the bank transfer must be sent together with the registration form. All bank charges related to payments through bank transfer must be paid by the Participant. The name of the Participant must be clearly indicated on the bank transfer. Registration forms not accompanied by payment will not be taken into consideration.

Due to the local bank fees, taxes and administration fee for receiving wire transfer an additional amount of R$160,00 (BRL) will be charged in the invoice. If you want to avoid this additional amount, please consider paying your registration fee and accommodation through credit card.

CONFIRMATION

Upon receipt of your registration and after payment clearance, you will receive an email confirmation and specifying payment status. It is the Participants’ responsibility to ensure that all details such as the address, registration type, tickets, hotel reservation, dates of arrival and departure, etc. are correct. Please contact the Congress Secretariat immediately should you identify any errors or have any questions: registrationbrasil@mci-group.com

Please print the confirmation and bring it with you to the Congress. At the entrance of the Congress, go to the registration desk and your badge will be printed and your Congress kit will be made available for you.

If we have not received your full payment for the Congress fee and/or related events/tours before 17 August 2017, any pre-booked events/tours including free events will be cancelled and you will receive a cancellation notice. The cancelled events/tours can be re-booked and paid for on site if still available.

CANCELLATION OF PARTICIPATION
Any cancellation must be submitted in written to registrationbrasil@mci-group.com and are liable to the following refunds, taking into consideration a maximum period of 7 days after registration date, as defined by Brazilian legislation:

  • Up to 17 August 2017: 80% refund (20% cancellation fee)
  • After 17 August 2017: no refund

All refunds will be processed and issued within 30 days after the Congress.

CANCELLATION OF TOURS

All changes and cancellations must be sent to the Technical Secretariat, atendimento@mcihousing.com.br, in writing via e-mail.

The following cancellation policy shall apply for tours:

  • Cancellations before 25 June 2017: 90% refund (10% cancellation fee).
  • Cancellations before 25 July 2017: 80% refund (20% cancellation fee).
  • Cancellations on/from 25 July 2017: No refund.

CANCELLATION OF ACCOMODATION AND REDUCTION OF NIGHTS

All changes and cancellations must be sent to the Technical Secretariat, atendimento@mcihousing.com.br, in writing via e-mail and not to the hotel. The following cancellation policy shall apply:

To secure your booking, a two nights’ deposit will be charged. The difference is to be paid directly to the Hotel upon check in.
All the rates are in Reais (R$) per room and per day, including breakfast and taxes.

  • Cancellations requested up to 90 days prior to the arrival date: R$ 100,00 fee will be charged for administrative expenses.
  • Cancellations requested between 89 and 31 days prior to the arrival date: R$ 100,00 fee will be charged for administrative expenses plus a penalty corresponding to the amount of one room night plus the taxes agreed at the booked hotel.
  • Cancellations requested less than 30 days prior to the arrival date, there will be no reimbursement and in case of early departure and/ or late arrival: the hotel is legally authorized to charge all nights initially reserved.
  • All refunds will be processed one month after the Congress.

Please note that, in case of no-show, the Technical Secretariat is legally authorized to charge the entire stay as initially booked.

CANCELLATION OF TRANSFER SERVICE

All changes and cancellations must be sent to the Technical Secretariat, atendimento@mcihousing.com.br, in writing via e-mail.

The following cancellation policy shall apply for the transfer service:
• Cancellations up to 7 days prior to the transfer service date: 100% refund.
• Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the transfer service date: No refund

There is simultaneous translation (Portuguese/English/Portuguese) in the following sessions:

  • Seminar A: Fragmentation of Contracts and Taxation
  • Seminar C: Cost-sharing and Cost Contribution Arrangements
  • Seminar G: International Indirect Taxation of Enterprise Services: Multilateral, Internal or Bilateral Approach
  • Seminar H: Recent Developments in International Taxation

LIABILITY/INSURANCE

All reasonable endeavours will be made to hold the 71st IFA Congress 2017 as programmed. However, the Organisation of the 71st IFA Congress Rio 2016 (7FA, ABDF and MCI Brazil ) has the right, for any reason beyond its control, to modify or cancel without prior notice, scientific sessions, social events or any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items of the Congress.

The Organisation will not assume indemnities or reimbursement of fees/deposits requested by participants in case of cancellation of the whole Congress due to unforeseen or force majeure circumstances, such as hurricane, flooding, earthquake, volcanic eruption, strike, riot, war, terrorism, etc.

Neither the Organisation nor their officers, employees, representatives or agents will be responsible for any loss, damage, expenditure or inconvenience caused to participants and their belongings, during or as a result of their participation in the Congress. Participants are advised to consider procuring their own insurance against any such occurrences.
